Beyond Laundry Time: Flexible Booking and Multi-Day Rentals

One resource, one booking model doesn't fit everything

A shared laundry room works best with fixed time slots: 07:00–10:00, 10:00–13:00, and so on. But what about the meeting room someone wants for two hours? Or the cabin your co-op rents out over a weekend?

Booking Map has three booking models, so each resource gets the right setup.

1. Fixed time slots (FIXED_SLOT)

The classic for laundry and charging points. You define the slots, residents pick an available one. Simple and fair.

Perfect for: washing machines, dryers, EV charging, sauna.

2. Flexible duration (FLEXIBLE)

The resident chooses their own start and end within operating hours — for example the meeting room from 18:00 to 20:00. You set opening hours, minimum and maximum duration, and how granular the time selection is.

Perfect for: meeting rooms, hobby rooms, guest rooms by the hour, party venues.

3. Multi-day booking (DATE_RANGE)

The resident selects a date range — from Friday to Sunday. Ideal for rentals over several days.

Perfect for: shared cabin, caravan, trailer over a weekend, guest apartment.

Capacity for several at once

Each resource can have a capacity above 1. Have a hobby room that fits three? Set capacity to 3, and three residents can book the same time.

All in one system

The beauty is you don't need separate tools. The laundry, the meeting room, and the cabin all live in the same Booking Map account. Residents see everything in one place, and the board manages it all from the same dashboard.

How to set it up

When you create a new resource in the admin app, you simply choose the booking model. The fields adapt automatically — time slots for fixed, operating hours for flexible, no extra setup for multi-day.
